Artist Statement

Through a series of introspective blog posts and random musings that represent my shifting mindset at 21, Capturing Evanescence invites readers to plunge into a chaotic whirlwind of looming adulthood.

As an undergraduate college senior, I’m on the precipice of evolution, prompting me to design a collection of works that serve as a snapshot in time, enabling me to peer into my impending graduation and uncertainty as well as reminisce about the person I am before everything, inevitably, changes.

Ruminative, existential, and slightly insufferable, this project depicts a tempest of swirling emotions and churning desires, enticing individuals to plummet down a rabbit hole of brewing metamorphosis.
