I think the solution to my problems is fleeing overseas to Europe and reinventing myself every five years.
Me and what money though.
In all honesty, I’m really grateful for the travel experiences I’ve had.
Because of my parent’s international backgrounds – my dad is Dutch, and my mom’s family is Italian – as well as my own heritage as a Chinese adoptee, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience an array of diverse cultures, traditions, and places that have shaped my identity and understanding of global issues. From studying International Mass Communication and Biomedical Ethics at The University of Oxford as part of a study abroad program to exploring art and history in museums in Rome, Prague, Amsterdam, London, and Paris to visiting Taipei 101, I wouldn’t be the person I am today without this background and I appreciate every place my parents took me to.
